Buzz Aldrin is an engineer and former American astronaut, and the second person to walk on the Moon. He was the lunar module pilot on Gemini 12 (1966), and Apollo 11(1969).

Gemini 12 was the last chance to prove methods for extra-vehicular activity (EVA). Aldrin set a record for EVA, demonstrating that astronauts could work outside a spacecraft.

Apollo 11 was the first manned lunar landing in history; He set foot on the Moon at 03:15:16 (UTC) on July 21, 1969, following mission commander Neil Armstrong.

He is also a retired colonel in the United States Air Force (USAF) and a Command Pilot.

He was born January 20, 1930 and was at the time of writing this: age 84.

Season 3, Episode 11[]

In Season 3, Episode 11, Killer Chat (airing December 15th, 2006) Aldrin plays himself, and escorts professor Larry Fleinhardt from the FBI headquarters to his shuttle.

We first see Aldrin reading a newspaper on a bench while Larry and Megan are saying their goodbyes in an alcove to the bridge to the FBI building.

Larry says, "[Laughs] I think NASA figured I'd need help finding my way."

Aldrin shakes out his paper to fold it and greet Larry bounding towards him. They walk away in slow motion, wearing sunglasses, to ELton John's song Rocketman.
